Skyjoust!!, written and designed by James D’amato of the ONE SHOT Podcast Network in collaboration with Melody Watson, Vee Hendro, and Hayley Gordon, is an expansion of the indie tabletop roleplaying game Fight with Spirit: a Sports Drama RPG, published by Storybrewers Roleplaying.
Campaign: Skyjacks and Skyjacks: Courier’s Call are actual play podcasts set in Speir, a folktale-inspired fantasy world of sky piracy, giant birds called ‘griffins,’ a cursed sea, and supernatural forces known as Luminaries. Skyjoust!! is set in the same world, further exploring competitive bird sports featured in the early arcs of Campaign: Skyjacks. Alongside the game’s debut, the ONE SHOT Podcast Network released the Skyjoust!! spinoff podcast, following four teams of bombastic teens competing for championship glory in the Fledgling Leagues.

AF Azar is an Ohio-based illustrator and cartoonist. He spends an absurd amount of time listening to podcasts–don’t worry, he draws pictures while doing so and never gets distracted ever. His favorite birds are great horned owls and common loons. If he were in Skyjoust!, he’d be the reason his team loses. Sports are hard. He’d rather teach the birds how to do tricks.
